We’ve got a fantastic new range of five new ‘spooky character art label’ craft beers in stock. From Mexico these beers are ‘The Day of the Dead’ beers with ghostly characters for each of the five beer labels. These would have been in keeping with Halloween at the start of November! These new craft beers are brewed by Cerveceria Mexican the third largest brewery the country and whose flagship beer is Mexicali.

Last Thursday evening we had our usual ‘open bottle’ of wine night for customers to try. On tasting that night we had a Spanish white wine to sample which was one of the wines from our wine festival in September - Con un Par Albariño 2011.

We had a shop wine tasting last Thursday evening of five French wines, two of these were whites, a Chablis and Sancerre of which we have stocked for some time, both of which especially the Chablis appealed to everyone who tried it and are good quality examples of these famous French wines styles.

There were also three new French reds on tasting that night which are from our Ellis of Richmond wine suppliers which included a single varietal wine from the South of France, a Rhône blend...

The Past Weekend Rugby International

This past Saturday saw the second Autumn International rugby match being played at Twickenham with England playing and beating the Argentinian national team by double points, for whom it was their first time playing rugby there, even though they have been around for some time!

On the whole this was not Last Try Wines busiest ‘international’ and far less so than the previous first game as we saw far less Argentine fans in...
